AFTER SCHOOL

A youth programme film made on the court, where confidence grows one practice, joke and missed shot at a time. The story follows young players and their mentors with an honest documentary rhythm, creating a hopeful campaign for enrolment, community partnerships and social channels that never feels staged.

THE BRIEF, THE BUILD, THE PAYOFF.

The Court After Three

The Court After Three

The youth programme wanted enrolment and partnership content, but a polished promotional script would have erased the reason the court mattered. Confidence here arrived in unfinished ways: a missed shot tried again, a joke with a mentor, someone quieter choosing to join the next drill.

We shaped the film around one afternoon, letting practice supply the structure while the participants supplied the personality.

Stay Close, Step Back

Stay Close, Step Back

A compact crew worked at court level with lightweight cameras, moving close for conversation and backing away when the group found its own momentum. Interviews happened between drills, when answers were relaxed and connected to what had just taken place.

The edit keeps misses, pauses and friendly disagreement alongside the good plays. Bright natural colour and a loose handheld rhythm make the piece feel immediate, while clear consent and review kept every young participant comfortable with how they appeared.

Confidence in Motion

Confidence in Motion

The finished documentary became a flexible enrolment film, partner introduction and set of participant-led social cuts. It does not promise that one afternoon changes everything. It shows something more believable: a safe place where showing up, trying again and being known can change the direction of a week.

You kept the missed shots, jokes, and the moment a quieter kid joined in. It feels like our actual court—only with much better sound.
